Woodland caribou are listed as “threatened” under the federal Species at Risk Act. Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Environment is in the process of conducting range assessments to better understand the status of woodland caribou populations and habitat. This information will be used to develop range plans to help maintain self-sustaining woodland caribou populations within their current range. Additional information would assist the province to get a better picture of their distribution.

Your help is appreciated in reporting any sightings of woodland caribou or signs of caribou activity.

Sightings of woodland caribou, including tracks or other signs, can be reported using the report a woodland caribou sighting form from the Government of Saskatchewan.
